I absolutely love, love, when a potential buyer reaches out to me and hires me to do a private commission for either them or for a loved one! Why? One, I love that they place their trust in me to be able to deliver a piece of artwork and curtail it especially to their desires, needs, and wants. Let’s face it-artwork is subjective! And two and this is for selfish reasons, it offers me the ability to step outside my comfort zone and create something new and exciting that I wouldn’t ordinarily do in my day-to-day art making.
There is nothing more rewarding than when they receive their final artwork and to be able to see the expressions on their faces when I have, as one past client stated, “Nailed it!”- LOL; or to hear about it when they send me a special note “thanking me”! It simply stated, “Warms my heart and soul”!
