When your world falls apart into a thousand pieces, and your life has taken an entirely new shape, new vision, just like the leaves of the tree, do you crumble; or do you choose to prevail? Some say there are no endings, only beginnings. It is a new cycle, a new beginning. What do you think? For me, it is this way of seeing that life is full of new beginnings. These thoughts embraced are what get me through the long hard days. I simply choose to believe because at the end of the day sometimes it is too much to not believe.
When you love someone, and that “love” itself can take many different forms that “love”- never dies. They are still with you, with me, for they may be gone; but they will never be forgotten. Sometimes what gets me through is the little thoughts like, what if the caressing winds upon your face is really them touching you from a new plane in time? What if the random smells that remind you of them are indeed their way of crossing through to let us know we are not alone? What if “that” song comes on, you know the one that reminds you of them, of the “us” that use to exist? What if the rare glimpse of a species on the verge of extinction is a glimpse that all things are possible, if we believe, if we choose to be open to the little miracles that are unveiled before our eyes every single day!? So if we come from love, give love, and experience love in a myriad of ways, then it is possible to believe that “love” still exists all around us in a different form.
There are times in all of our lives that this world seems too unbearable, too unjust, and too damn unfair! So when times are tough and you find yourself on your knees more than anything, when you have cried so much the tears just don’t come anymore, and the hollowness in your heart feels it’s been ripped out of your chest, and you struggle just to breathe- trust. Have faith that all things happen for a reason though we may never understand why and try to embrace “we are where we are supposed to be”. And if it helps, I know it does for me, remember, they are with us every day, wiping our tears, reaching from beyond to let us know they remain with us in different forms. They are the “Sweet Remains” of our lives, of this extension of life, and we will be reunited.
For their lives ARE the miracles God allows us to savor, and when their bodies leave us, fret not, for their spirits live on!
Wishing you all many blessings and much happiness!
